Egyptian daredevils have always looked at extreme sports such as, skiing and snowboarding in admiration and deep inside, a little envy for not being geographically compatible to slide down smooth slopes of crystal white snow. In the past few years  however, things started looking up for adrenaline seekers in Egypt: Sandboarding, a sport rumored to have been invented by ancient Egyptians who surfed down golden dunes of sand on planks of hardened pottery and wood, has been reborn in the Sahara Desert.

Today, Egypt is home to some of the best Sandboarding destinations Qattaniya dunes, whit desert  Carwin  Dunes

And other in the great sand sea.

The program of the event

Day1 : Arrive Cairo meet and assist transfers to the hotel by our assistance stay overnight at hotel. Hotel bed and breakfast.

Day 2 : we will check out  from the hotel in Cairo  to 2 days in the desert and dunes our first

Stop will be in QATANIA dunes about 90KM away from Cairo we will start our first round then we will have a picnic then we will continue the first round until the sunset after that we will stay in hotel  at Bahriya oasis dinner at hotel stay overnight.

Day 3: we will move to second spot CRAWIN dunes ( one of the best dunes in Egypt and the world)where we will take our second round .

At Noon we will have our picnic then we will continue our second round by the sunset we will drive off by 4 x4 jeep in the amazing desert we will see the black and white desert

And the great wonders of the western desert then we will camp in the desert for over night

Enjoy  a bdewin  night  at  Bedewin tents dinner Barbecue enjoy Bdewin songs and dance at Night with the lovely stars

Day 4 : we will move to Elmhark dunes we will drive off in the heart of white  desert by 4 x4 jeep till we reach the dunes we will take the last round then we will announce the winner

The winner will receive  1000 USD as a prize and  the cup.

And all the participants will  receive a certificate Of joining our international event,

 back to Cairo over night at the hotel.

Day 5: After breakfast you will be transferred to airport for final departure ,,,

what is the sand skiing ? there are 2 types:

Downhill sand skiing involves finding a dune, hill, or mountain, climbing to the top of it and skiing down it. Is it fun? Lots - except for the part where you have to climb up the hill. You'll find no ski lifts, no trams, not even a rope tow. If you want to get up the hill, you have to climb it on your own. Nevertheless, the lack of these niceties doesn't seem to have prevented newcomers from being drawn to the sport.

Cross country sand skiing involves skiing finding a nice long scenic stretch of sand covered land, strapping on the ski boots and skis and having at it. Nothing strengthens the muscles and increases stamina like cross country sand skiing.

Whether you do downhill or cross country sand skiing, this is fantastic exercise. If you're not in shape, this sport will definitely get you in shape. If you're already in shape, sand skiing will keep you fit.

The Essentials of Sand Skiing

So what equipment does a sand skier need? Pretty much the same as a snow skier. You'll of course need skis, preferable older ones as sand, even fine sand, is an abrasive and over time can remove material from the ski's running surface.

Sand blindness, like snow blindness, can cause a temporary vision loss. To prevent it, you'll need a good pair of UV resistant sunglasses or goggles. You'll also need ski poles to push past some of the denser spots of sand.

Sand skiing is usually done in warmer environments - so dress accordingly. Wear light clothing and if the sun is intense, wear a hat to protect your head.

Finding the Perfect Sand

Snow skiers are very familiar with the different types of snow, for example skiing on powder is a much different experience than skiing on packed snow. It may surprise you that sand skiers have similar experiences. Coarse sand gives a much different experience than fine sand. Wet sand is much harder to traverse than dry sand.

As you get more into the culture of sand skiing, you're hear the terms "fast sand" and "slow sand". Fast sand is great, you'll feel as though you're gliding on glass. It's almost effortless. Slow sand can be a grind, like slogging through quicksand. And there are all sorts of gradients in between. Skiers looking for perfect sand is much like the prototypical surfer looking for the "perfect wave".

So skiers rejoice. No longer are you confined to the winter season. With sand skiing, you can not only enjoy your sport year round, you can enjoy it in almost any place in

 the world.

                Day 1 :   Hurghada           

                Upon arrival at Hurghada International Airport, you will be met and assisted Select Egypt representative and transferred to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.         

                Day 2 :   Hurghada           

                Breakfast at your hotel. A pick up will be arranged from your hotel where you will be taken by boat for a snorkeling trip to several of the Red Sea’s fascinating underwater vistas - from corals to magnificent colorful fish, and perhaps you can get a chance to swim with the dolphins. There will be ample time to enjoy the host of water sports and activities available on the Giftun Island. You will be picked up from your hotel in Hurghada for a quad runner excursion taking you 25 km into the desert to a Bedouin village to enjoy their hospitality and learn about their culture and traditions. You may try a Bedouin tea or get to try the water pipe (shisha) before your drive back and transfer to hotel, where you will stay overnight.          

                Day 4 :   Hurghada           

                Breakfast at your hotel. Pick up from your hotel in Hurghada for a fantastic underwater trip for two hours through SINDBAD SUBMARINE to discover the wonderful marine life of the Red Sea, aboard a one-of-a-kind submariner in the Middle East. The vessel descends to a depth of up to 22 meters where you can see different kinds of coral reefs and colored fish. You will stay overnight at your hotel.           

                Day 5 :   Hurghada or Luxor (Optional Day Tour)
